We’ve rolled out two updates to help you get the most out of Sciserver:

New: Best Practices Documentation

We’ve added a new section to the docs with practical guidance on managing Python environments, including how to keep them persistent across container restarts. This is a standard Python practice using persistent storage, not a Sciserver-specific feature. We’ve also included tips on making your shell environment persistent, and how to interact with MPCDF’s Raven and Viper supercomputers.

Sciserver AI Chat Assistant

I’ve launched a lightweight AI assistant to help with common questions about Sciserver workflows: https://s.mpe.mpg.de/sciserveraichat. It’s available to all AcademicCloud users and knows about all information inside the documentation website. For deeper issues, the support channels are still the best place to go.
